Welcome to Fisherman’s Garden

The Legendary Family Restaurant in Kommetjie

THE FISHERMAN’S GARDEN STORY

Nestled in the heart of this small seaside village, Fisherman’s Garden boasts a cosy interior and spacious alfresco dining, which invites summer and seafood celebration. Getting there is one of the best parts…… can only be described as one of the most scenic drives in SA.

Spacious outdoor tables are bedecked with umbrellas or placed under the shade of ancient Milkwood Trees which makes an ideal setting for enjoying the best of summer. Enjoy ice cold beer on tap, craft beers, week-end afternoon live music sessions and, on Sundays, our legendary Mozambican braais.

The interior is warmed in winter by a roasting fire, complete with the lingering aromas of wood fired pizzas, burgers, steaks and scrumptious seafood.

Fisherman’sGarden is a friendly, relaxed dining experience in the heart of Kommetjie.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Joseph Mburu is part owner and General Manager of Fisherman’s Garden.  Hilary Rudnick is part owner and a “summer manager”.  Kelvin Kadyevu is the third full time manager.

Fisherman’s Garden occupies the space formerly known as Fisherman’s Kommetjie.  It continues the great tradition of this legend by retaining the relaxed nature of  Kommetjie and the families living there. There is something for everyone in the community as well as all Capetonians and tourists. This is conveyed by 3 distinctive areas within the restaurant.

Under Milkwoods!

We stopped here during Xmas period. The restaurant was very busy with people waiting for a table. Service was brisk and we did not have to wait long for food. Good menu choice and excellent quality, entertainment was also enjoyable.
